Imagine a world where your financial data is truly yours. The Consumer Data Right (CDR) makes this possible.

CDR is a government-regulated system that lets you safely share your banking data with trusted apps like Gather.

CDR was legislated into Australian law in 2019. You can read more about the legislation here.

The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) regulates the CDR.

CDR participants, including Gather, must pass strict privacy and security checks before they can handle your financial information on your behalf.

CDR was inspired by the UK's Open Banking legislation which came into effect in 2018. Both systems let you share your financial information with trusted apps, but Open Banking is a term used globally for this idea.
